Week 11 End of Week scoreboard watching

Scores from Wednesday thru Saturday of week 11 (that's 2/6/08 thru 2/9/08) that caught my eye.

Lake:
  • Eagan goes to Lakeville N and wins by 8. Lakeville N falls to 7-7 in league play.
  • Kennedy gets a nice home win by 3 over Burnsville to keep pace with Eden Prairie and stay 1 game in front of Eastview. The loss pushes Burnsville 2 games behind Eastview.
Minneapolis City:
  • South gets another big league win with a 3 pt home win over Roosevelt. Both teams are now 4-3 in league play and 2 behind Washburn in the loss column for the league lead. Henry and North are both 5-2. Edison loses to North by 3. They're 1-6 in the league but 11-7 overall.
MCAA:
  • MCA gets another close road win vs a top league opponent. This time its a 7 point win at West Lutheran. 3 wins by a total of 11 points all on the road vs the #2-4 teams in the league. The loss means West Lutheran is the #4 seed in next week's MCAA tournament.
  • New Life Academy gets a 16 point win at Heritage to clinch 2nd place (via head-head tiebreaker).
Missota:
  • New Prague wins at Farmington to stay 1 behind Prior Lake and Holy Angels in the loss column. Farmington is now 3-3 in the league. They've lost 6 of 9 after an 8-1 start.
  • Shakopee is 1 back in the loss column as well. They have a big league game at Holy Angels on Thursday night.
North Suburban:
  • Cooper falls by 1 at Spring Lake Park to fall a game behind Benilde-St. Margaret's in the league race, but they play each other at BSM on Feb 29th.
Northwest Suburban:
  • Maple Grove loses to Blaine and Champlin Park this week. They're on a 4 game conference slide and are now in 3rd place at 6-4. Blaine is now my pick to win section 7AAAA with Kyle Kreklow and Dylan Rodriguez.
  • Champlin Park with 2 wins to move up to 7-3 and 2nd place.
  • Coon Rapids with back to back home losses to Park Center and Blaine puts them at 5-5 in the league with Blaine and Elk River.
Tri-Metro:
  • Brooklyn Center gets blown out at Breck on Tuesday night. After an 8-2 start, the Centaurs have now lost 5 out of 6 (4 in a row) and 2 of their next 3 are at Minnehaha and DeLaSalle. Minnehaha only a half game back in the Tri-Metro West.
Non-Conference:
  • Johnson gets a 1 pt win at Washburn. Washburn with another tough home loss to the top of the St. Paul City league. They go to Como Park on Saturday after the big Mpls City showdown with Henry on Thursday. Johnson hosts Central in a big St. Paul City showdown on Thursday.
  • Also from Tuesday, La Crosse Aquinas blows a 7 pt lead with 3 minutes remaining and loses 71-70 at Winona Cotter. Tough loss for Aquinas as they enter the final week of regular season play.

  1. Regarding the BC-Breck game...why would you leave in Dakota Tidd being up 25 for the entire game?
