Just another Musketeer evening

Prologue
Its a trip to Lakeville North to see 3 top flight teams in the Lakeville North tournament.  The Crown Prince joins me after lunch at The Blue Door.  Nice walking taco on the menu with some Cold Stone Creamery available as well.  A couple of cans of Coke washes down the walking taco.

Game 1: #2AAA Holy Family vs Shakopee
Holy Family can't buy a shot for most of the game and it was apparent right off the bat.  Nothing fancy from Shakopee on defense, just a vanilla 2-3 zone.  Tevin Killeen would bury a 3 and then be fouled on a 3 for Shakopee and his 2 of 3 free throws puts the Sabers up 13-3 at the 9:50 mark.  Joe Hanel would get going from the high post. He scores 7 of 9 Fire points to pull Holy Family within 15-12 at the 7:28 mark.  It also sits down Tyler Weiss with 2 fouls.  Shakopee would hammer away on the glass and go to the half with a 28-17 lead.  The Fire start the 2nd half quickly with a pair of Brent Hentges triples.  Justin Dahl adds a putback.  Colton Stenerson with the 3 point play and Duncan Faris for 3.  The Shakopee lead is down to 37-33 with 10:28 left and coach Kugath takes timeout to regroup his Sabers.  The timeout worked wonders.  Soph Booker Coplin with 7 straight points, Tyler Weiss high off the glass for 2 more in a 13-0 Sabers run.  That blows the game open to a 50-33 Shakopee lead with 6:32 left.  They coast to a 61-47 win from there.  Booker Coplin leads Shakopee with 13 points, Tevin Killeen with 9, both off the bench.  Brent Hentges with 15 for the Fire.  No shots falling and too many jump shots from Holy Family vs the Shakopee 2-3 zone.  Clutch performance from the bench guards for Shakopee as the bigs were largely held in check.

Game 2: White Bear Lake at Lakeville North
The hosts jumped on the Bears right away.  JP Macura with a free throw, a 3 and then coast to coast for 2 more.  10-2 Lakeville North less than 3 minutes in.  Macura with a layup to extend the lead to 13.  Then White Bear Lake would counter with an 11-2 run.  Tanner Hinck with a nice fade inside and a 3 ball to pull the Bears within 33-29.  Macura with an assist for a layup, a post up bucket and then he skips to Connor Flack for 3 just before the halftime buzzer.  40-31 Lakeville North at the half.  The lead is still 12 with 11 minutes left before the Panthers start to pull away.  Macura an easy inbounds bucket and 2 free throws in an 8-0 run that pushes the lead to 20.  Macura adds a couple of 3 point plays.  Lakeville North wins 83-58.  JP Macura with 35 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists for 16 more points on my stat sheet.  Tanner Hinck with 16 points to lead White Bear Lake.  Defensively Lakeville North left much to be desired.  A major lack of effort on that end of the floor gave White Bear Lake way too many easy looks.
