Mapping out the 25-26 Stretch Run

Here's a list of each of the metro area conferences I follow and where the league races lineup with 3 weeks left in the regular season.  Important games remaining are included.

City - Ubah Academy and Higher Ground Academy split their 2 games.  Higher Ground won the last meeting.  Ubah is 1 game up with the league schedule appearing to be completed.

EMAC - Hiawatha beat Hope last Monday to win the league

IMAC - Minnehaha has clinched the league with 2 wins over Breck and only 1 league game left.

Lake - Wayzata is 1 up in the loss column on Buffalo, Hopkins and Maple Grove.  Wayzata swept Buffalo and Maple Grove swept Wayzata

  • 2/12 Maple Grove at Buffalo
  • 2/17 Wayzata at Hopkins
  • 2/26 Hopkins at Buffalo

Metro East - Tartan will be the league champion.  They are 3 up on Mahtomedi and won both meetings.

Metro West - Chaska is undefeated in league play and leads the league by 2 games over Waconia.

  • 2/24 Chaska at Waconia
Minneapolis City - Minneapolis South has 3 games left and a split with Washburn.  A Washburn and South tie would send the Tigers to the Twin Cities Game for the 1st time since 1989.  In 2013, South was part of a 3 way tie with Southwest and Washburn that sent the Lakers to the Twin Cities Game.  The difference that season?  A home buzzer beater from halfcourt for Southwest to beat South.  Southwest has another chance to play spoiler.

  • 2/12 Roosevelt at South
  • 2/13 South at Southwest
  • 2/19 Washburn at North
  • 2/24 Southwest at Washburn

MCAA - Liberty Classical swept the North, Mayer Lutheran won the South.  They meet for the title on MCAA Showcase day.

  • 2/21 MCAA Showcase Day, all cross-division games.  Location TBD (Eagle Ridge?)

Mississippi 8 - Becker leads Monticello by 1 game via their 67-55 head to head win at Monti.  They meet on the final night of the regular season.  Just the way things should be decided.
  • 2/27 Monticello at Becker
Northwest Suburban - Totino-Grace and Champlin Park are on a collision course for a winner take all game.
  • 2/17 Totino-Grace at Champlin Park

St. Paul City - Central won the 1st meeting of city powers.  But the rematch at Johnson this week is a winner take all affair.  Thanks to the Rose Bowl Rule, the winner will host the Twin Cities Game if they win out.

  • 2/10 Central at Johnson

Skyline - Maranatha has a 83-66 home head to head win over St. Croix Lutheran for 1st place.  Rematch is this week.

  • 2/12 Maranatha at St. Croix Lutheran
South Suburban - Prior Lake left a crack in the door with their 1st league loss last week but they're still 2 up.  Lakeville South is 2 back and got the split last week.  That means the Cougars will need lots of help to move up.
  • 2/10 Apple Valley at Prior Lake
  • 2/13 Lakeville South at Apple Valley
  • 2/20 Prior Lake at Eagan
Suburban East - Another 2 horse race between traditional favorites.  CDH won the 1st meeting with East Ridge to be 1 up.  Raptors host the rematch this week with a chance to share the league title
  • 2/13 Cretin-Derham Hall at East Ridge
Tri-Metro - DeLaSalle won the grudge match with Richfield on the island emphatically last week.  Looks like they'll share the league title.

Wright County East - 3 teams all within 1 game of the top spot in the loss column.  Holy Family won a thrilling 1st game with SW Christian.  They host the rematch next week.  Delano still lurking with only 1 league loss which was to SW Christian
  • 2/20 SW Christian at Holy Family
  • 2/25 Delano at Holy Family
