Off to Minneapolis Henry to see their rivalry game against Minneapolis North. The buzz definitely in effect for this game as we end up with pretty close to a full house. A very vocal crowd at that. Certainly a much different feel for this game than recent games in this storied rivalry. Remember this game used to be played at Target Center once upon a time. The Henry pep band makes an appearance. We don't see enough pep bands in the metro. The game also with impact in the Minneapolis City standings. No concessions for me due to the full house.

Jamil for 3 to push the lead to 7. Then down the lane, into traffic and thunders home the 2 handed smash at the 7:15 mark. Tyler Johnson with a steal for 2 and then up high to throw down a lob for a 10 point North lead. Jermal Davis giving Henry great minutes off the bench. He makes a great hustle play to save a ball on the sideline and gets it back for layup. Jovahn Jefferson with a pair of buckets and Henry has moment. Patriots have the North lead down to 58-54 outside of 8 minutes to play. Then Randy Matthews with a pair of lefty finishes inside. Post Game
For Henry, Jovahn Jefferson scores 14 of his 19 in the 2nd half to lead the Patriots. 9 points from Jermal Davis off the bench in the 2nd half. Quality minutes there. Julian Jackson 13 of his 17 in the 1st half. Henry with only 2 timeouts left during the run so they didn't have a chance to take one during the 11-2 run that ultimately put the game away. Henry 3-7 overall and now 2-2 in the Minneapolis City. The next 3 games are on the road against Totino-Grace, Wayzata and Blake before hosting the MLK Classic.
For North, they improve to 7-7 overall. They remain on top of the Minneapolis City at 4-0. Jamil Jackson with another big game of 25 points. He had 3 dunks in the 1st half with the big one in traffic included. Tyler Johnson scored 17 points despite foul trouble. North gets a another big league test at home against Washburn on Thursday. Then the Polars have 4 in a row on the road. Give North's top 2 credit for stepping up with critical plays.
