Cole Aldrich leader of Kansas in 08-09

Jeff Goodman of FoxSports.com wrote a piece today on Cole Aldrich (Bloomington Jefferson 07) being a major piece for Kansas in the 2008-2009 season. Goodman writes "Seven of the team's top nine scorers are gone, which means that Aldrich and Collins will be the de facto leaders this season." This is after his impressive performance vs North Carolina in the NCAAs last season. Interesting how he comments that he's focused on the future and hasn't watched that UNC game and really doesn't appear to have much current interest in it. You have to like that focus if you're a Jayhawk fan.

Cole was a top flight recruit coming in (#30 in the final 2007 Rivals.com Top 150 and #6 Center, #38 Scout.com and a McDonald's All-American). This is a season where it appears he'll have every opportunity to live up to that. Travis Releford (played here in 2007 Sabes Invitational) will join him next season.
